I can't believe it, but I've checked three different places and they all agree: large shrimp are 4 calories each. This can't possibly be true, can it?

Posted by: JenBen on June 15, 2003 11:30 AMOk, doing more research it looks like shrimp are 28 calories per ounce, which means that the huge jumbo shrimp have 28 calories each. A pound of shrimp is 448 calories. Still pretty amazing considering the leanest cut of beef is over 900 calories a pound. I think shrimp will become my new favorite protein.
